Lynda is a seasoned clinician and operations manager whose healthcare experience spans 30 years with expertise in PDPM, PPS, Medicare and Medicaid Policy, Managed Care, RoP, PASRR, Compliance, Audit and Denial Management, Clinical Programming and Therapy Metrics. Prior to launching, Jennings Therapy Solutions she has dedicated her career to serving the adult and geriatric population and is passionate about ensuring elders receive quality rehabilitative services.
Currently she provides support to The Village at Incarnate Word as the Vice President of Clinical Services and Compliance. She assisted The Village in implementing the key components of Requirements of Participation and led the charge in the community becoming Medicare/ Medicaid Certified .
Prior, she served as the Chief Operating Officer of Touchstone Rehabilitation for ten years, overseeing the clinical and financial operations of twenty three rehabilitation locations across Texas by establishing systems and processes to ensure the short term and long term profitability, growth, competitiveness and financial strength while balancing the delivery of high quality rehabilitative services.
Lynda is an active member of the Texas Occupational Therapy Association (TOTA) serving on the local and state boards in various positions for over fifteen years including serving as the past State Association President. She is currently the State Parliamentarian and a CEU content reviewer for TOTA. She is also a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and is the Texas Representative to the Representative Assembly. She is also a member of Leading Age and the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators. Receiving her certification, as a Resident Assessment Coordinator in 2019.
Lynda serves on the University of Texas Health Science Center Occupational Therapy Advisory board, Alumni Council and is an adjunct faculty member. She is a recognized expert in her field and has been a guest lecture on various topics including most recently PDPM is here, now what?, Therapy Experts Talk PDPM, A Clinician’s Guide to PDPM, Occupational Therapy’s Role in Skilled Nursing, Leadership and Professionalism, and Keys to Successful Documentation in a PDPM World.
Lynda received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, in 1990. She has maintains her National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy since 1990. She is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner.
